Thanks! I use Cubase and different plugins to work on the sounds. I would recommend getting a DAW first, there is a whole lot of plugins and instruments waiting for you out there. Some of the free stuff I use regularly, so you don't really need to pay a ton of money to get into it. Now what DAW to pick, that is really up to you and what works for you best. In school I used Pro Tools, but could not afford it when I graduated. Cubase came with a recorder I bought so it was natural to start working on that. Later I tried Ableton Live, but I found it a bit confusing and little too colorful for me, hah.

What tools did you use for this? It sounds neat. I'm into composing but find it hard to find good tools(for free anyways) I use musescore4 and Bosca.
